The Cartier Love Bracelet was first introduced in 1969 by Aldo Cipullo, and it has since become one of the most recognizable pieces of jewelry in the world. What made it so different at the time, and still today, is that it’s designed to be fastened with a screwdriver, a literal lock-and-key moment meant to symbolize love and commitment. It’s simple, sleek, and has managed to stay relevant for decades, so it continues to feel like such a timeless piece.
Yet the very manner in which the bracelet locks has kept me from regularly wearing my love bracelet. I like to take my jewelry on and off, especially my bracelets, as they sit against my laptop when I’m working and press against my skin. When I am going out, I throw on a few of my favorite pieces and go. My Love Bracelet is typically left out, as it takes more effort to put on and take off, creating just enough of a hindrance that I avoid it.
If you are looking for a vast group to discuss all things Cartier Love, I’d check out this thread on our forums!

Cartier initially addressed this by introducing the Love Cuff (which is currently not on the website?!) and implementing a more seamless closure. Now, Cartier revisits its Love collection with an update called Cartier Love Unlimited.
The Love Unlimited piece introduces a flexible ribbon-like form, around 200 parts, a patent-pending clasp, and even a design that can flex and connect to others (yes, you could theoretically stack or link them into necklace-like layers).
What makes this feel seamless is how Cartier retains those unmistakable Love cues, including the exposed screws, the gold finishes, and the bold yet elegant silhouette, all while giving us something that works more fluidly in 2025. The “natural progression” piece? The new clasp mechanism (no longer needing two screws in some versions) and the changing form.
So for longtime fans, it’s a reassuring update. The new Love Unlimited feels like Cartier listened; it wants the bracelet to be part of life, not just an ornament. It’s an iteration that invites use, and it’s one that I could see myself using far more frequently than my current Love Bracelet.
The Cartier Love Unlimited is available in bracelets and rings (gold, white gold, and rose gold) in different sizes.

Cartier realized (a while ago) that it had saturated the market with the Love bracelets and needed a new “must have”. Kudos to them, I guess.
I disagree with hate comments on the love bracelet, the design is classic and minimal, and will always look great. The fact that social media is oversaturated with these shouldn’t really matter IMO, it has nothing to do with the design. If you’re so easily influenced by something that someone has or doesn’t have, only means that you don’t have your own style and taste.
It’s not hard to understand why people are over those when everyone at the PTA meeting wears one.
I’ve never understood the need to have one of these
Never understood the appeal of the cartier love bracelet, especially since it’s so saturated and teens have them!
These look less tacky than their predecessor
Sadly, these types of pieces are just influencer basics.
The ring is cute, the wiggle wiggle bracelet? Pass.
My L.O.V.E bracelet is the original launched in 1969. I used to treasure it, because it was quite rare to own one and the style was unique.
After the Kardashians stacked them to absurdety everyone and their mother wanted them and the price therefore no longer reflects it’s worth.
The new Unlimited style looks like the old but cheap gold doublé magnet bracelets😂.
For that price I’m not interested, it has become ridiculous.
It’s too much like a sleeve garter!
This is giving Bruno Mars in his music video vibes lol 24K
