When the Jaquemus Mini Chiquito first burst onto my instagram feed I jokingly sent it to a friend who was always losing her AirPods. The ‘bag’ is so tiny AirPods are about all it can actually hold, but if you’ve decided against using the Mini Chiquito to house your AirPods today you’re in luck. Suddenly it seems that all of our favorite designers are making teeny tiny homes for our most prized tech accessory. When I say our, I mean you, as I can’t say I’m part of the AirPods club. I use Beats Wireless headphones for running and just can’t bring my self to purchase an “everyday” pair of wireless headphones, but I digress. It seems like an expensive, frivolous option; however, I don’t use AirPods so my advice may be moot. IDK.
Man – most of these cost more than the Airpods themselves LOL. I have airpods, they are useful for studying and not having annoying cords but I would never buy a case that does nothing except advertise a brand. At least the case they come with charges the things.
I’m so with you on this. It doesn’t make sense that the case itself is more expensive than the AirPods LOL
Then again… many women carry purses that are more valuable than their contents. How much does a Louis Vuitton change purse cost… and how much does it carry? 4–5 dollars worth of quarters?
Many designer wallets cost more than the cash and cards that they’re holding are “worth”.
I have many designer wallets but personally, I would not put them in the same category as AirPods case. More like iPhone case than purse. As for my AirPods, I carry mine in a small make-up bag I got as a gift with purchase from Chanel.
I love my AirPods but I don’t need a “luxury” case for them! They already come with a beautiful Apple case that I would hate to hide under these tacky D&G logos.
While I get that… the idea isn’t terrible. The Airpods case is easy to lose. These are essentially keychains that you can attach to a handbag… meaning there’s always a home for your airpods when you’re not using them.
I carry mine in a coin purse that was a gift with purchase at Lancome
Apple will probably change the size and shape of the Airpod case soon enough and make these obsolete.
